I have been honored to call Covington home since 2005. I was
born in Atlanta and grew up in Roswell. I spent a 14-year stint in North
Carolina before relocating back to the Peach State. My husband, John joined Pratt
Display in Conyers as President in 2004, and we moved to Covington the
following year. We live in Covington Place where I have served on various
committees and served on the HOA board until I was elected to City Council in
2017.
We have two children and 6 grandchildren. Our son,
Logan, is a Presbyterian minister in Boston. Logan and his wife, Melissa,
have 4 children. Our daughter, Kristi, is an attorney in Atlanta. She and her husband, Jay, have 2 children.
I retired in 2015 from Tandus. I enjoyed a 40 year
career in the commercial flooring industry. My customers were architects and
interior designers. I attend Covington First United Methodist Church, and
I volunteer regularly at the Food Pantry and with the City’s Covington Cares
program.
I am honored to bring my people skills including
strategizing and negotiating to the Covington City Council. I look
forward to participating in the smart growth and preservation of Covington.
My goal and plan is to be the council person everyone
knows. I will be in the public’s eye working hard to make Covington the
best it can be. I look forward to attending continuing education programs
and participating in functions, including groundbreaking ceremonies, ribbon cuttings, forums, and town
hall meetings. Most of all, I look forward to working for you - my
constituents.
