Starting Tuesday, July 6, 2021, Trees Unlimited Inc. will begin the contracted service of trimming trees in the right-of-way and near power lines around Covington. They will be trimming trees around primary powerlines at a minimum of 10 feet away and around service lines at a minimum of 5 feet away (these footages are industry standards). This is slated to occur on a four year cycle so you may not see them in your area until 2025!

But if you do see them, they are contracted by the City and will not only help clean up some unruly treetops, they will make the areas around our powerlines and right-of-ways safer. If you have any questions, please contact Customer Service at 770-385-2000.
