A Message from Chief Holmes about the Quarantined Firefighters

March 25, 2020

Great news!!! The City of Covington’s firefighters who have been quarantined for 14 days due to exposure have been released to go home to their families. The department is thankful to our community who graciously provided resources to the department during this time of need. The phone calls, texts, and most importantly the prayers have been greatly appreciated.

Please understand, if you call 911 for a medical emergency you will be asked certain questions so the department can provide appropriate care. Please answer the questions truthfully, and expect precautions of facemasks, gowns, eye protection and gloves from our first responders. This is to protect our first responders but also allows the department to continue providing a high level of care to the next patient as well.

Return to list.
