Mayor Johnston encourages public to attend August 5 Council Meeting to discuss Ethylene Oxide emissions

“I want to ask every citizen concerned about the Ethylene Oxide emissions being emitted in Covington to attend Monday’s council meeting. Myself along with city has staff has worked diligently over the last week to learn as much as we can about EtO emissions and their possible impact on our community. We have invited state and federal agencies, health experts and state representatives to attend Monday’s meeting and are awaiting confirmation that they will in fact be there. Because of the ongoing renovations at City Hall, the August 5 and August 19 meetings have been moved to Legion Field which is located at 3173 Mill Street. Meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and I hope to see you there.” -Mayor Ronnie Johnston
