Covington Hometown 4th of July Parade & Festival

Saturday, July 4, 2026 - After the parade until 2 PM: Enjoy the Covington Hometown 4th of July Festival on the Square. After the parade comes through, enjoy activities for kids, food trucks, and music!

  • Local music favorites Chris, Jon, and Scott will play in Square Park from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Food trucks and snacks will be available from This, That Breakfast & Moore; Chick-fil-A; IssaFunnel; Hook’d on Kettlekorn; Lily & Sparrow; Scoops; Tropical Delights Little Jimmy’s Italian Ice; E&E Heirloom Desserts Cotton Candy; and downtown businesses and restaurants will be open!
  • Face painting will be provided for a nominal fee by Powders & Paint Face & Body Art
  • Free activities include a trackless train, zipline, bounce house obstacle course, bungee trampolines, and carnival games (first come, first served - extended wait times anticipated)
  • Touch-A-Truck with local public safety agencies

 

  • TRAFFIC & ROAD CLOSURES
    🔸For the parade, roads into the Square will close at 4 a.m. including Clark Street and Washington Street at Emory Street and Reynolds Street from Lee Street to Elm Street. Roads along the parade route will reopen at the conclusion of the parade except for the Square and one block off of the Square which will be closed until approximately 5 PM. Square businesses will be open!
    🔸Usher Street and Conyers Street will be open to travel east and west.
    🔸Anderson Avenue at Floyd Street and Newton Drive at Mill Street will close at 7:45 a.m. until the end of the parade for parade staging.

    • PARKING
    🔸Thank you to First Baptist Covington for allowing us to use the parking deck for Special Event Parking.
    🔸Public parking lots off of Stallings Street will be available as well as legal on-street parking outside of the closures. No parking along Reynolds Street until after the parade.
    ♿Handicap parking will be available in the parking lot at the corner of Usher and Hendricks Streets. This lot will only be accessible from Usher Street. Handicap parking will also be available at the Welcome Center (1143 Oak Street SE).
