-Recognition of the Covington Police Explorers for winning 1st and 2nd in two events at Winterfest' 2025 Gatlinburg.

  1. Discussion of the minutes from the Regular Council Meeting held on February 17, 2025.

Discussion of final reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF TITLE 15 OF THE SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING CHAPTER 15.36 (SOIL EROSION, SEDIMENTATION AND POLLUTION CONTROL); TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES."

7. Discussion of first reading of an ordinance modifying Chapter 5.12 Alcohol Beverages.

 

8. Discussion of request from the Historic Preservation Commission to initiate a text amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, Sec. 16.52.180, to shorten the Public Notice time for a Certificate of Appropriateness.

 

9. Discussion of Progressive Design-build for the City Pond/Williams Road Improvement Project Phase II-A - Surveying and Engineering fees.

 

10. Discussion of a Resolution adopting Carter & Sloope, Inc., Consulting Engineers' rules and regulations to carry out and enforce Chapter 13.28 of the City's Code of Ordinances and the cross-connection control program implemented thereby in accordance with City Code of Ordinances Section 13.28.070.

 

11. Discussion of first reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington:"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISION OF TITLE 13 OF THE SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING SECTION 13.28.020 (DEFINITIONS) AND SECTION 13.28.060 (IMPLEMENTATION OF CROSS­ CONNECTION CONTROL PROGRAM) OF CHAPTER 13.28 (CROSS-CONNECTION CONTROL PROGRAM) THEREOF, TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES."
