2. Discussion of the minutes from the Regular Council Meeting held on April 21, 2025.

Discussion of the final reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington: “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF TITLE 16 OF THE SAID CODE OR ORDIANANCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING SECTION 16.24.040 (COVINGTON TOWN CENTER OVERLAY ZONING DISTRICT) OF CHAPTER 16.24 (OVERLAY ZONING DISTRICTS); TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDIANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”

 

4. Discussion of the final reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington: “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF TITLE 16 OF THE SAID CODE OR ORDIANANCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING SECTION 16.52.270 (PUBLIC HEARING ON APPLICATIONS FOR CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS, NOTICE AND RIGHT TO BE HEARD) OF CHAPTER 16.52 (HISTORIC PRESERVATION); TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”

 

5. Discussion of the final reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington: “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF TITLE 15 OF THE SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING CHAPTER 15.48 (FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION); TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”

8. Discussion of Public Hearing and resolution for the transmittal of the Amendment to the Impact Fee Capital Improvements Element to the Northwest Regional Commission.

 

9. Discussion of the adoption of a Resolution for the Capital Improvement Element FY2024 Annual Update.

 

10. Discussion of appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission.

 

11. Discussion of the of a resolution Authorizing the staff and professionals to proceed with the issuance of revenue bonds; providing for the reimbursement of expenditures with the proceeds of the revenue bonds; and for other related purposes. 

 

12. Discussion of best bid from Southern Pipeline in the amount of $1,525,499.99, for the Gas Meter Exchange project.

 

13. Discussion of ballot for the election of GMA’s District 5 Officers for the 2025-2026 year.
