The Covington Central Business District is the business center of the City of Covington and includes the Square and several large shopping centers. You can access a map of the Central Business District here.

Downtown Revitalization

Downtown Revitalization For close to twenty years the Main Street Covington program has been charged with developing a public/private partnership to preserve the historical fabric of the downtown district and promote and facilitate its economic revitalization. An active board of directors and volunteer stakeholders joined by community partners recruit business, develop both community and retailing events, and promote the preservation of the historic buildings in the district and initiate design and streetscape projects to further enhance the district.

Chargepoint EV Charging Station Available in Covington

The City of Covington is excited to announce the installation of an EV charging station at the Welcome Center (1143 Oak Street SE)! With a 25 RPH (miles of Range Per Hour), the charging station is capable of charging two EV's at a time and it is free to use.
