Our Customer Service Department has received a number of calls from customers that they have received a phone call requesting payment for a utility bill. THIS IS A SCAM. The caller is spoofing the City's phone number and requesting/demanding payment. The City of Covington DOES NOT call our customers to solicit payment for anything, utility bills or otherwise. Do not give any information to the caller posing as the City of Covington requesting payments. If you are contacted by this spammer, please contact the Covington Police Department at 770-786-7605 to report the incident.
