On August 5, 2024, the City of Covington Mayor and Council adopted the 2024 Downtown Master Plan. Much like the Comprehensive Plan, which includes the entirety of the city of Covington, this plan contains the vision for the future of the downtown area and will help guide the city in achieving the vision.
As Phase 1, the foundation has been laid, boundary area identified, and a next step process has been defined. In Phase 2, the city will further detail and expand the priorities, framework, and strategies by working directly with the property owners, business owners and citizens within the boundaries of the Downtown area (as defined by the Master Plan).
