Covington encompasses just over 13 miles, allowing residents to enjoy expeditious response times from the city's fire and police departments, dispatched by the accredited E911 center. With 55 Fire Department employees and 75 on staff at the Police Department, residents can rest assured their town is safe and help is just minutes away.
All three public safety entities are accredited and work tirelessly to maintain their accreditation and attend training. In fact, the Police Department alone boasts more than 100,000 career training hours from current officers.
