CITY OF COVINGTON ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT RECEIVES NATIONAL COMMENDATION FOR ELECTRIC RESTORATION EFFORTS IN ABBEVILLE, LOUISIANA

 

The City of Covington Electric Department has received a national commendation from the American Public Power Association for its support in electric power restoration efforts in Abbeville, Louisiana. The City's Electric Department sent a crew to Abbeville in response to hurricane damage that caused widespread outages.

 

 

The City of Covington participates in the American Public Power Association’s Mutual Aid Network, which coordinates with utilities and authorities during widespread power outages. We are proud of our Electric Department crew members who took time away from their homes and families to help the citizens of Abbeville during their time of need.
