The City of Covington's Mayor and Council, along with the Covington Tree Preservation Board, invite you to the 32nd Annual Arbor Day Celebration at Legion Field on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  There will be guest speakers and a proclamation will be read to honor this annual event.

Arbor Day is a day set aside for schools, civic clubs, and other organizations, as well as individuals, to reflect on the importance of trees in our state and across our nation. Georgia Arbor Day is in February because it is the ideal time to plant trees in our state. It is held the third Friday of February, but due to additional celebrations on Friday, February 16, 2024, the City's official proclamation will be read on Thursday,  February 15, 2024.
