City Operations Impacted by Winter Weather on Tuesday, January 21, 2025

Due to the current Winter Weather Advisory in effect, the following updates pertain to City operations for Tuesday, January 21, 2025 and there also some notifications concerning Wednesday, January 22, 2025:
 
  • City offices, including City Hall, are closing at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Opening details for Wednesday, January 22, 2025 are to be determined as staff continues to monitor the weather.
 
  • The City Council meeting/work session planned for Tuesday, January 21, 2025 has been postponed.
 
  • The BOAA meeting planned for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 has been postponed.
 
  • All court hearings, arraignments, and trials for 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. have been cancelled for Wednesday, January 22, 2025 for the Covington Municipal Court due to the expected hazardous weather conditions on January 22, 2025. If you have a case scheduled for this date, the case will be rescheduled to a future date.
 
GARBAGE & YARD WASTE PICKUP
  • Residential Garbage & Recycling: Latham plans running a normal schedule for Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
  • Yard Waste: Wednesday Yard Waste Customers - Your yard waste will be picked up on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
  • Business Waste: Waste Management will suspend service for Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Please allow at least 48 hours for pickup.
