Due to the inclement weather in our area and the hazardous road condition it has created, City offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

The City of Covington offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Public safety, public works, utility, and customer service teams will be working to ensure the safety of our citizens.
Covington Municipal Court has also cancelled all hearings, arraignments, and trials for January 22nd at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. If you have a case scheduled for Wednesday, January 22, 2025, the case will be rescheduled to a future date.
The below freezing temperatures coupled with the current precipitation will continue to make road conditions hazardous. Please stay off the roads unless travel is essential. It is predicted that Wednesday morning travel will also be impacted.
If you have an emergency, please call 911. Do not call 911 for a power outage. Our Electric Department will be monitoring their outage system and get notifications upon an outage. However, you can call 770-385-2000 to report an outage.
Remember to protect the 4 P's (People, Pets, Pipes, & Plants) as cold temperatures will linger through at least tomorrow.
