Beginning Monday, January 12, 2026, detour and road closed signage will be set out along the stretch of Conyers Street from just west of Legion Drive to Academy Springs Circle for the ongoing Conyers Street Stormwater Project. A soft closure will start on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 and the full shutdown described below will begin on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The closure is expected to last approximately three weeks. Please follow all detour signs to route around the closure. Residents will be able to access their homes and Academy Springs Park will be open unless otherwise noted.

 

During construction, Legion Drive will also be closed to thru traffic allowing for local traffic only. Residents will be able to access their homes. Traffic will be diverted at the southeastern end of Legion Drive at King Street & Old Monticello Street. Use Jackson Hwy. as a detour if you normally use Legion Drive as a travel route to Conyers Street.
