City Service Delays/Closures Due to Winter Weather
There are scheduled delays/closures for City offices and waste pickup going into the week of January 26, 2026.

Due to the predicted weather forecast, which includes an Ice Storm Warning for our area through 10 AM on Monday, January 26, 2026, there will be closures and delays to city services beginning Monday, January 26th:
CITY OFFICES
City offices will be closed on Monday, January 26th. However, utility, pubic works, public safety, and support crews from the City and County are all ready to work this weekend as the need arises.
RESIDENTIAL WASTE PICKUP (Latham Sanitation)
On Monday, January 26th, trash pickup may be delayed up to 24 hours. Please place trash can(s) out on your normal pickup day and leave it at the curb until serviced. Routes may be delayed all week depending on the severity of the storm. LHS crews will begin route collection as soon as it is safe to travel on icy streets. Your patience and understanding while LHS completes next week’s routes is greatly appreciated.
COMMERCIAL WASTE (Waste Management)
Waste Management customers' trash pickup is expected to be delayed by at least one day for the week of January 26, 2026. Please continue to place your garbage out for its normal pickup day. When weather permits, Waste Management will resume their regularly scheduled services.
YARD WASTE (City)
Pickup of yard waste will be delayed during the week of January 26th. We request your patience as our teams may also be working on cleaning up storm debris.
Staff will continue to monitor the weather and schedules for openings/services will be adjusted accordingly. We encourage our citizens to follow their trusted local weather sources to stay up to date with the progression of weather conditions and heed all public safety warnings concerning hazardous road conditions.
