Newton Drive Water Main Replacement Project: Water Interruption

As part of the Newton Drive Water Main Replacement Project, water service needs to be turned off to the old line. Therefore, water service will be interrupted along Newton Drive on February 6 & 8, 2026.

February 05, 2026

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2026
At 10 a.m., water service will be turned off to the portion of Adams Street between Newton Drive and Floyd Street. The shutoff is anticipated to take approximately two hours.
 
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2026
Starting at 8 a.m., water service will be turned off in sections along the portion of the below streets between Newton Drive and Hwy. 278:
  • Hannah Street
  • Gordy Street
  • Adams Street
  • Cook Street
These sectional shutoffs are anticipated to take place in the above order (starting with Hannah Street) and last approximately two hours. It is possible that more than one section will occur at a time, so if you live on one of the above streets, please be prepared for water service interruption any time after 8 a.m. on Sunday, February 8th.
