Live, Work, Create and Play!

Under the coordination of Karen Anderson, Curriculum and Instruction Elementary Social Studies Specialist for Newton County Schools, over 75 students submitted art for the 2025 Black History Month art exhibit entitled "Black History in Motion." Chosen pieces of artwork will be displayed on the evening of Friday, February 28, 2025 for "A Night of Art + Jazz" at OHCO District. OHCO has graciously donated their facility for this event.

The art will be displayed inside the main room where we will also be entertained by the Alcovy Jazz Band followed by the smooth sounds of Derwin Daniels, local jazz artist.

Food trucks will be on-site, including ISSA Funnel and The Social Goat, for dinner and snack purchases. Join us from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to enjoy great art, music, and food as well as celebrate the talented youth in our community!
