Deer Hunt Application 2024


State of Georgia O.C.G.A. Title 16, Chapter 10, Section 20 (16-10-20)
A person who knowingly and willfully falsifies, conceals, or covers up…shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000.00 or by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years, or both.

The applicant deer hunter, in consideration of the fee charged, does hereby release and discharge the City Of Covington, its officers, directors, management, employees, and members of the Covington City Council, of and from, any and all claims arising out of or by virtue of the undersigned allowed to deer hunt on property of the City Of Covington. This release is executed by the applicant, for and on behalf of the undersigned, his or hers heirs, successors, representatives or assigns, and is intended to be a full and complete release of the City Of Covington of any and all claims that the undersigned may now or hereafter have against the City Of Covington arising out of, or in any way connected with the applicant’s presence on the property of the City Of Covington for the purposes of participating in a managed deer hunt(s).

The applicant acknowledges that the property of the City Of Covington where the managed hunt will occur is used as a spray irrigation field for land application treatment of wastewater and contains pipes, sprinkler heads and other apparatus incidental to such use. The applicant acknowledges that he/she is a mere licensee whose right to remain on the property of the City Of Covington is terminable at will and without notice. The applicant agrees to vacate the property at such time(s) as the City Of Covington or its representative in sole discretion determines is appropriate.

The applicant expressly assumes all risks and damages incidental to white-tailed deer management hunt(s) conducted on the property of the City Of Covington. The undersigned agrees and stipulates that the City Of Covington, its officers, agents, employees and Council members are not responsible or liable for any injuries sustained and does hereby release any claim against them arising directly or indirectly from any such injury.

Applicants that would like to hunt together should complete only one application.
