5.         Discussion of the final reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington:

 

“AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF TITLE 16 OF THE SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DELETING SECTION 16.20.440 (LIVESTOCK, QUARTERS AND ENCLOSURES (INCLUDES POULTRY)); TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”

 

6.         Discussion of the final reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington:

 

“AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISION OF TITLE 12 OF THE SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING SECTION 12.04.020 (OBSTRUCTION OF STREETS AND SIDEWALKS PROHIBITED) THEREOF, TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”

“AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISION OF TITLE 13 OF THE SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING SECTION 13.24.020 (GENERAL SEWER USE REQUIREMENTS) OF CHAPTER 13.24 (INDUSTRIAL WASTE CONTROL) THEREOF, TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”

 

13.       Discussion of bids to purchase MSA-SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) for the Fire Department.

                       

14.       Discussion of sole source bid to purchase an AirVac 911 System for the Fire Department.

 

15.       Discussion of the first reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington:

 

“AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF TITLE 2 OF THE SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTION 2.60.040 (CEMETERY REGULATIONS) OF CHAPTER 2.60 (CEMETERIES) THEREOF AS, TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”

 

16.       Discussion of resolution changing the Council Meeting time from 6:30 PM to 6 PM.

 

17.          Discussion of proposed City Fee Schedule.

 

18.       Discussion of the first reading of an ordinance for the addition of a Large Industrial Rate Schedule for the City of Covington.

 

19.       Discussion of a request for road closure on College Avenue between Church and Elm Streets on September 28th from 7:30 AM – 2 PM, to allow the use of a crane to load the top of the Lula Building with roofing supplies and materials for roof replacement. 

 

20.       Discussion of bids to install a digital voting system for the council room.

 

21.       Discussion of Façade Grant Program.

 

22.       Discussion of resolution approving a special event with outside alcohol consumption in the Covington Historic Downtown Entertainment District on October 17, 2020.
