September 10, 2019

This year the 36th Annual Fuzz Run, presented by SteelCo Buildings, Inc., will be held at Legion Field (3173 Mill Street, Covington) for the first time in its history.  Always held the second Saturday of September, the 2019 Fuzz Run is happening on Saturday, September 14th.

The Fuzz Run is the largest fundraiser for the Police Who Care Fund. The fund contributes to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, Special Olympics, YMCA, ProjectRenewal, Miracle League, and Shop with a Cop, just to name a few. In addition, the fund makes a $1000 contribution to the beneficiaries of every Georgia law enforcement officer who dies in the line of duty.

Registration packet pickup is from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13th at Legion Field.  There will be local vendors present for the Fuzz Run Expo. Food trucks will open at 11:00 a.m. for anyone who is picking up registration or just wants to grab lunch or an early dinner. Everyone is welcome.

Saturday morning will kick off with the 1-mile Fun Run at 8:00 a.m. We are honored to have Officer Matt Cooper leading the Fun Run race.

At 8:15 a.m., Mary Beth's Redbird Run, a 50-yard dash for 5 & under, will take place next to the Pavilion.

The Fuzz Run 5K will start at 8:30 a.m. Check out covingtonfuzzrun.com for the new race course!

Over 60 vendors and sponsors will be present on the morning of the Fuzz Run.  There will also be Fuzzy Wuzzy's Kids Zone under the Pavilion, a place for the younger crowd to play games and eat snacks but must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

There's something for everyone at the Fuzz Run whether you want to walk, run, volunteer or just come hang out and enjoy the community and fun. Registration is open online until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11th.  You can also register in person on Friday at the Expo.

The Police Who Care and the Covington Police Department hope you will come run with them this Saturday, September 14th, at  Legion Field!
