Keep Newton Beautiful, in conjunction with Newton County Solid Waste Management Authority, has scheduled a FREE tire amnesty day to dispose of old tires. On Saturday, September 21, 2024, Newton County residents can bring up to 10 tires (no commercial tires and no rims) to the Cook Road Convenience Center at 10 Cook Road, 30014, for disposal. And if you bring tires, you can get a free hot dog lunch. The center will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for free tire disposal on September 21st and you must bring your ID with proof of Newton County residency.
